Ankara Top

I think i'm going to try and sew or make at least ONE thing a month. I hope i can keep to it.

Anyways, i've been meaning to sew a top like this. I have a similar top i got from Target. It's cotton in from and some type of jersey/knit fabric at the back. I figured since the back is jersey and it stretches it wouldn't be too hard since i wouldn't need hard core measurement nor a pattern.

I used T-shirt that fits okay not a baby T just a regular T-shirt. I folded it in half and traced around the Tee. I must say sewing knit is a bit of a challenge...my machine stitches are going on weird so that made it even more of a challenge. At any rate, i finished the top but i don't know that i will wear it out just yet. I need to alter it some...

Ankara Laptop Sleeve

Been a hottttt minute, ey?

Finally made an Ankara laptop sleeve for my sister!! I'm ashamed to say how long i've been meaning to make one. Didn't even take very long...i found a pretty easy to follow pattern. I also meant to post this before 2013 ran out so it won't seem like this is a 'new year resolution i'm going to sew more this year' post...lol

I do have visions in my head of sewing more and I've been reciting #JustDoIt mentally for a couple of weeks so i just might sew more but lets not make any resolutions, yea? :)
