Handmade Bow Ties!!

I FINALLY got around to making the bowties...seeing as it's one of the first things i wanted to make, this is long over due. Anyways, finally found and ordered the bowtie clasps and making the bowties themselves isn't a long process at all. 

Actually, someone requested one just as i got the clasps so that gave me the lil extra motivation i needed to make em. Lol.

Diapers and Wipes To-Go

I'd been meaning to make one especially as i had a soon to be mum to give it to and i had found a relatively easy pattern online [i'll post the site...i don't have it on hand right now]. Well that soon to be mum had her baby and i still hadn't made it. lol.

Anyways, i finally got around to it and guess what? After rushing to get it done, buy a gift card, a congratulations card, and addressing the envelope...i'm STILL yet to mail it. I just haven't been able to get to a post office before they close. *Sigh*

Like i said, it was relatively easily. I noticed too late that i miscalculated the magnetic snap positioning even tho' a friend said she didn't notice till i mentioned it. It sha bugged me but i couldn't do anything about it. I also think it looks kinda big...are diapers that big? I followed the dimension pretty accurately and the lady had diapers in hers when she finished and they seemed to fit. Ah well....here's to hoping she likes it and can make use of it.

*Yes, i have quite a bit of this blue fabric...lol. I use it for all my 'samples'

Men I ain't been here in so long!!

I read an 'advice' somewhere...it said, don't talk about your plans...just do it, because talking about them and getting positive feedback releases some type of $%*^(^ something in your brain that makes you feel like you have actually done and accomplished said plan. I'm totally paraphrasing and it might be a whole load of crock but i think there might be a smig of truth to it even if at the barest level.

All that said...i've made some stuff and given then away but didn't take pics or bothered to put them up. I haven't been on my practicing as i hoped i would be sha. I'd see something and think 'oh, i should totally try to make that' but then the days i'm home doing nothing...i look at the sewing machine and just meeehhhh myself out of it :( lol

I saw this on the Fabulous Mimi G's website. She has a free pattern download. My dimensions were obviously off cos i don't like the way it turned out and it looks lopsided. I sha said i shan't gree and i'll post it anyways. I still find installing a zipper rather frustrating :(. I looks soooo easy tho.

Peek-a-Boo!

Happy New year, Kreationistas!!

I was going to title this 'For the Ladies' but everything so far has been for the laides. Lol!

Anyways, i know they sell these, i never got around to buying myself one and i also wanted to make an Ankara equivalent. This is a nice way to carrying your little private things to the bathroom without everyone knowing what's in it or without logging your whole big bag to the bathroom reach time. It can also/even be a mini-makeshift make-up thingy.

I made two different ones: A 'clutch' and a drawstring pouch...I they can be a lil smaller sha but i like to carry wet wipes around so these works for me.
