So i said i was going to make reqular sized head bands...decided to make a double sided one. The bowtie is still detachable so you can wear the band with or without the bowtie which is also double sided. My sis gave me an idea of how to attach the bow so i'll try that the next time i make one.
What do you think?
Would you rock it?
Would you buy it?
How much would you pay for it?
...an attempt at tapping hidden potential. Feel free to leave suggestions and/or ideas.

Baby Booties??
Haha!! So i decided to try my hands on some baby booties. I tried a couple different patterns but i just couldn't seem to get the dimensions right...they ended up looking weird. I actually had this lofty idea of gifting this to a friend who just had a baby girl...silly me. LOL!! Ah well, you know what they say...practice makes perfect, ey?

Head Band
A rather BIG one, ey? There is a reason for that...this is really for my naturalista sistas. You know how one might wrap their twist-out or combed out 'fro with a scarf or scrap material? Well, i've done that a few times and each time i always thought 'dang, i wish i had a big enough head band so i don't have to mess with tying a scarf or trying to tuck the ends of the material somewhere they don't show'.
Well, i decided to make one :). Oh and the difference with this 'naturalista head band' is that it's worn backwards...most people wear head bands with the band in front and the elastic band in the back. This is made to be worn with the band at the back...you know, to hold up the 'fro. I even made a detachable 'bow'...you can attach the bow or not.
I'll make some regular sized head bands too...later.

BowTie Earrings N Tins!!
...we have bowtie pasta, bowtie hair pieces, bowtie neck pieces...heck why not bowtiw earrings, ey?? Lol. This sounded really good in my head but it didn't quite turn out as i imagined :(. It sits on my ear lobe rather weirdly. Maybe i needed to make them smaller? Ah well.
Description from left to right:
I made some 'Fabric Hoops'...cute huh? Well, iLike.
I love love love the round ones...i cut a strip of fabric, sewed it together, gathered it, wrapped it into that shape, and put a 'button' on top...you like?
The bowtie earrings.
Ankara 'flower'...can be worn as a brooch or a hair accessory
Hair clip- I mixed the same brown Ankara material as the flower/hoops with some other yellow fabric I had.
What do you think?
Would you rock it?
Would you buy it?
How much would you pay for it?

Unfinished Earrings...
So I cut out some pattern from some fabric cos I wanted to make some earrings. I’ve been wanting to make them for a while now but I never seem to have all the material I need…I’m missing ‘eyelets’ so I can’t connect the fabric earrings to the ear loops. Anyways, these are pictures of the semi-finished products.
I cut these square patterns from a fabric I have (same as the first neck piece)…glued them together with fabric glue and kinda pegged them [like pictures in a dark room] up to dry
*the lighting is kinda off...that red looks kinda orange
I have some earrings in the shape of the map of Africa so I cut out fabric in the shape of Africa, glue them together, and…
The 'half moon' ones are actually full circles but i thot i'd try these out.
I'll post the finished products whenever i get my hands on some eyelets.

DIY Ankara Messengar Bag!!
I’ve wanted to make one of these FOR A WHILE!! I even told myself I’d make one before summer was over but alas…Then when I decided I was ready for it, the old denim skirt I planned to use as a base was nowhere to be found so…
Anyways, finally made one, Yayyy!! It’s pretty cool to be able to take ‘scraps’ and turn them into something functional and useful…whoop whoop!!
It's not perfect, even though you can't really see it some bits are uneven but hey, practice makes perfect, ey?
These are the four main parts all pinned up before i hit the sewing machine...
Sewn and turned right side up. [L-R] Strap, Ankara lining with Ankara pocket, Flap of the bag with Ankara strips on the top side, main bag with brown Ankara strips on the sides
Finished Ankara Messenger Bag....taaadaaa!!
I was going to take a picture of the bag around me so you'd see how it sits on my body but i didn't get around to it before putting this up...sorry :p
Anyways, what do you think??
Would you rock it?
Would you buy it?
How much would you pay for it?
Kreate!!
